State Rep. Seth McKeel, R- Lakeland, has endorsed Fred Thompson.
McKeel's endorsement of Thompson as a "true conservative" follows that of U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam, one of the very first members of Congress to give the former senator his support and a potential player in any Thompson campaign. [McKeel holds the record for the most money ever raised by a Polk candidate for a Florida House seat-- $278,516.49 in his initial run in 2006.
