B.J. Upton Hits for the Cycle: Rays History!

It's still the middle of the game..Rays vs. Yankees at Tropicana Field. Thanks to Yankee pitcher, C.C. Sabathia, for setting up B. J. Upton who hit the cycle for the first time in Rays history. Yankee pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo threw him the a two-run homer. Yankee pitcher Robinson pitched B.J. the single that made Rays history.

UPDATE from Fred Goodall at the Lakeland Ledger.:
B.J. Upton ruined CC Sabathia's bid to become a 20-game winner, going 5 for 5 while hitting for the cycle and driving in a career-high six runs to help the Tampa Bay Rays beat the New York Yankees 13-4 on Friday night.

Upton hit a three-run triple in the first inning off Sabathia, then doubled off the Yankees ace in the third. After hitting a two-run homer off Jonathan Albaladejo in the fourth, he completed the cycle with a run-scoring single off David Robertson in the fifth.

The speedy center fielder became the first player in Tampa Bay's 12-season history to hit for the cycle. He became the fourth to have five hits in a game when he singled off Phil Hughes in the eighth.
