FL-District 13 Inquiry Intensified

Christine Jennings, who was in Washington this week and attended a hearing of the House Committee on Administration , repeatedly described herself as excited that an investigation was finally set to begin seven months after the election.

"It's not about Vern Buchanan. It's not about Christine Jennings," she said. "It's always been about what happened to the voters in Sarasota County."

Sarasota Vote Inquiry Intensifies.

A congressional task force called Thursday for a speedy resolution to a southwest Florida election dispute that questions the accuracy of ATM-style voting machines.

The Government Accountability Office agreed to try to meet a July 27 deadline - five weeks sooner than it had proposed - but made no promises of quick answers in the disputed race for Florida's 13th Congressional District seat.

Democrat Christine Jennings claims that touch-screen voting machines in Sarasota County failed to register up to 18,000 votes.
